Overcoming Crowding and Gingival Recession
This patient presented with a case of moderate crowding. Her goal was “to straighten [her] bottom teeth, decrease the crowding and straighten [her] canine.” Her two upper front teeth also showed crowding. By moving her molars back while rotating her front teeth into position, her orthodontist satisfied her chief complaint.
Straightening up a Crowded Mouth
This patient’s chief complaint, “I want to straighten my teeth, specifically the bottom middle that are crowded and my top two front teeth which are misaligned,” was a rather good self-diagnosis. She presented with crowding that Dr. Cater addressed using the CandidRx™.
From Excessive Crowding to a Broad Arch
This patient’s goals were pretty clear from her chief complaint: “Align my bottom teeth.” She showed moderate-to-severe lower crowding as well as some moderate crowding in her upper teeth as well. The trick was to open up space in the back of her arches, while both avoiding her partially impacted third molars and aligning her front teeth at the same time.
Crowding with Impacted Wisdom Teeth
This teenage patient presented with a case of moderate crowding on his bottom teeth and some crowding in his upper arch as well. His goal was “to straighten [his] teeth, but mainly the bottom ones because they are more crooked than the ones on the top of [his] mouth.” This would have been a common crowding case if it weren’t for one limiting factor: four impacted wisdom teeth.
