How should my aligners fit?
You can expect a tight fit at the beginning of each aligner set. This is totally normal. It is that pressure that is moving your teeth into place. You may experience some soreness in the first few days of a new set, which is totally normal.
If you notice slight gaps between your teeth and the aligners, you’ve got nothing to worry about. This is generally caused by the shape of your tooth. If this becomes a cause for concern, your orthodontist will let you know in your remote monitoring feedback.
Toward the end of each step, you may notice the aligners have loosened. This is a good sign! It means your teeth have shifted into their new place. That said, after each slight movement, your gums need some time to heal, so you should continue wearing this step until your orthodontist instructs you to move forward to the next.
