Is there anything that can make treatment go faster?

No, there isn’t. Your treatment plan will be designed to achieve specific outcomes at set intervals of time, and it’s crucial to allow each step to take its prescribed two-week course before moving on to the next one. Trying to speed through the process can adversely affect the health of your teeth and gums and the healing of the periodontal ligaments surrounding your teeth.

After the initial few days of soreness with each set of aligners, you may feel that they’ve stopped doing anything or have even gotten a little loose and want to skip ahead to the next set. But the aligners very much are still doing something — it’s just that the bone-remodeling phase, which makes up the bulk of each step of treatment, is much less uncomfortable than those first few days, so you won’t really perceive what’s happening.
