Plan ahead
Successful event planning doesn’t happen overnight. You need at least a few weeks to prepare your team and your practice—not to mention getting patients in the door. We recommend you start planning your event at least six weeks in advance to ensure you have adequate time to dial in all the details.
Leverage your team
Your team is a key factor in the success of your production day event. You’ll want to include your team in all the details of planning your event and delegate roles and responsibilities for preparations and the day of the event. If you work together as a cohesive unit, you efficiently plan and host your event while delivering a high-quality experience to your patients.
Use all of your space
On the day of your event, you’ll want to use as much of your practice as possible to host. If you have operatories you don’t usually use, you may consider using them for your production day. You may also want to decorate your reception area and put out a selection of food and beverage options for those in attendance.
Offer a promotion
Production days are all about driving revenue, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you should charge your normal fee for clear aligner therapy. Our providers often discount CandidPro clear aligners by $500 or more to help stoke more interest. Others offer free giveaways to patients who proceed with treatment. At the end of the day, discounts and giveaways will reduce your profit margin—but they could also increase your case volume overall. It’s up to you to determine what balance you want to strike.
Make some noise
If you host an event and don’t tell anyone about it, you’re not going to be very successful. If you spread the word far and wide, you could wind up with a significant boost to your revenue. Use your preparation phase to market your event in your practice, on your website, on social media, and with traditional advertising.
